Job Description :

The job holder will enhance, develop, source and create new products and services widening MPE offerings. Job holder will review, analyze quality and performance activities, ensuring excursions and services provided are meeting and exceeding customer’s expectations. Job holder will ensure MPE reputation is maintained as leading provider of activities and excursions in UAE. In close liaison with Excursions and Destination units, the job holder will monitor all excursions’ performance by proactively reviewing unit cost, analyse sales and take-up; applying best utilization practices and yielding techniques to maximize revenue generation & profitability.


Accountabilities:

Maintain exhaustive products range across UAE including itinerary, content, logistics requirements and details of costing and pricing.
In liaison with COO; plan, design, negotiate, secure new products at favorable conditions ensuring MPE offers at all time a wide and new selections of activities at best conditions.
In line with MPE mid- and short term markets’ strategy; enhance, develop and strategically price MPE’s offerings for existing products as well as for new, creative, innovative, appealing activities.
Monitor market’s conditions, trends, upcoming markets’ & seasons’ events and/or needs; proactively update, revise and/or package products range; including schedule and guaranteed departure.
In liaison with COO, Legal & Procurement departments; ensure all contracts and agreements meet minimum standard and contains essential terms & conditions protecting MPE’s and customers’ at all time.
Evaluate, monitor, control and report service quality, success rating, performance and guests satisfaction on all products on offer including for pre-booked and on-spot sales. Responsible to act upon any deviation.
Responsible to benchmark activities, monitor competitiveness, address content and/or pricing guaranteeing MPE’s edge over competition.
Monitor excursions performance; proactively ensure best seat factor/product’s utilization by controlling up-take and unit/manifest cost; optimizing revenue generation by dynamically feeding all MPE point of sales with sales recommendations.
Coordinate system/IT solution updates as applicable for both B2B and B2C and all Point of sales.
Coordinate collateral production.
Produce statistical reports.

Recommended experience:

Comprehensive knowledge of the UAE.
Experience in DMC business.
Contract and reservation handling.
Analytical & numerical advance skills.
A minimum of five years in product development in the tourism/DMC with particular focus on Excursions handling.
