WEB EDITOR – MAGAZINES

The Magazine’s division of Gulf News is looking for a Web Editor. This is a unique opportunity to help transform the online presence of the magazines. The Web Editor will be responsible for managing the digital operation with the goal of driving audience development and engagement.

Job Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of the magazines’ websites to ensure relevance, daily traffic and reader engagement
Create and implement a digital media strategy that expands the magazine’s reach on social networks
Produce and manage the magazines’ e-newsletters and other digital projects.
Write, edit and post original content if needed.
Work with magazines’ content teams to generate/create video content for digital platforms.
Work in close co-ordination with the magazines’ print teams to develop new digital content daily.
Work closely, daily, with gulfnews.com team and social media team to ensure adequate promotion of magazines’ content, especially by adapting and producing content in formats required by the main platforms
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degre
2-3 plus years of experience in digital journalism and social media
Knowledge and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of social media platforms , SEO and analytics
Highly motivated and team-oriented
Excellent writing and editing skills
Self-starter who is quick, efficient and capable of meeting tight deadlines required by digital work and makes it a priority to stay on top of the evolving digital landscape
