Job Description :

JOB PURPOSE

To research and identify new business opportunities (mergers/acquisitions and business transformations) for dnata Travel, based on general principles set by senior management. Manage the implementation of the new projects through the various business units till they are successfully established.

Job Responsibilities:

- In conjunction with legal and finance, recommend and implement optimum legal and financial structuring in order to minimise the Group's exposures and thus secure our investment. Ensure profitability of the projects through appropriate structuring.

- To research, identify and recommend new business opportunities (mergers and acquisitions) for dnata Travel.

- Evaluate and recommend new business opportunities (and respond to those identified by the senior management) on a global basis, prepare/evaluate feasibility studies and make recommendations to senior management.

- Evaluate the risks and exposures to dnata Travel as a result of specific new projects and recommend and implement solutions to the business in order to mitigate the same. This will require the jobholder to evaluate a range of external factors such as economic, financial and political issues and internal factors such as systems, finance, process and HR implications.

- Formulate implementation plans to ensure new projects are completed on time and within budget. Identify, along with the appropriate stakeholders in the line management departments, the resources required for each project.

- Manage the transitional arrangements for new entities, including internal/external technical and operational expertise and ensure the smooth implementation of the project, up to the point at which appropriate line management is in place.

- Identify opportunities for synergies across the wider group as part of the transitional arrangements, to ensure cost reduction and revenue generation opportunities are captured.

- Support the deployment of project management and reporting tools that support the business in effective selection, prioritisation, monitoring and control of projects in line with best practice standards.

- Monitor and analyse project trends, to identify strengths and weaknesses in project processes, and take the necessary corrective actions to ensure PMO delivery of services and activities will address any gaps / weaknesses in the dnata project management processes.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications: Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Experience : Commercial/Sales.Research/Analysis 8+ Years

Knowledge/Skills:

- Degree or Honours in business management.

- Experience in a range of functional areas of a large organisation, specialising in the identification, evaluation and implementation of new projects.

- Commercial and legal acumen, strong negotiating and influence skills are required. Soft skills to deal with senior level business managers and external parties would be required.

Should be a balanced all-rounder with good financial skills and business focus.
