Job Description :

Job Purpose: This position is involved heavily in the communications strategy and amplifying the key messages of the Centre through various communications platforms.


Job Responsibilities:

Communications Approach

· Create and lead the communications and thought leadership agenda for the Centre and its spokespeople.

· Conduct competitive advantage studies, with the support of industry partners, about the competition communications.

· Oversee the adoption of communications guidelines for the centre to be used by the stakeholders internally or externally.

· Create and implement communications programs to support the business objectives.

· Proactively identify new channels to better engage with the DIFC community and more effectively tell the DIFC story.

· Use analysis, measurement and reporting to provide insights and recommendations on improving effectiveness of communication.


Content Creation or Review

· Lead discussions with prospective partners for joint publication opportunities such as reports, newsletters, etc.

· Own the content and development of corporate documents of DIFC such profile, annual report, cabinet report, corporate flyers, presentations, letters, memos, reports and publications, website, etc.

· Support the Centre’s activities through the development speeches and talking points or content for presentations for the spokespeople whenever required.

· Lead the development of an overall monthly editorial calendar and an outlet-specific calendar based on each outlet’s publishing deadlines, for both partner and non-partner

· Effectively utilise existing or new communications channels to raise awareness around any special or new project of the Centre.


Internal Communication

· Lead the development of internal communication for DIFCA (receiving communication requests from the different departments or clients and sending them after obtaining approval within the timeframe decided or create new internal communication message).

· Manage relationships with the project owners to keep the stakeholders of the Centre informed and updated about the various communications/projects affecting them directly.

· Identify the appropriate channels of communication needed for the different projects.

· Maintain unified communication language and tone in the various channels print or digital.

· Proactively capture internal communication opportunities.

· Develop and implement internal campaigns to engage leaders and employees in our business and keep them aware of the business happenings.

Experience Required

Functional Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role in handling Communications activities.


Leadership/Supervisory: At least 4 years progressive leadership responsibility in an organization of similar scope and size. Leadership skills are necessary for directing staff and overseeing projects.

Education and Qualifications Required

At least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Literature, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or other relevant field.
Certification in business writing preferred. Master’s in Communications is preferred.
Strong research and proofreading skills to ensure all materials are high quality and accurate.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret results for the business and derive insights.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills as well as the ability to present verbally in English. Arabic is preferred.
